Lauren Gurvich is an accomplished strategic marketing professional with over seventeen years experience focusing on luxury brands, events, synergistic alliances, brand building, sales promotions, non-profit, and online initiatives. Having worked both in the U.S and Europe, as well as in major corporate and entrepreneurial environments, Lauren has a particular understanding of the demands of multi cultural marketing and the ability to adapt to various business disciplines.
She began her career in the world of fashion having worked in New York for Donna Karan, Emanuel Ungaro, and Guess, handling outdoor and print advertising as well as marketing promotions, events and product placement.
In 2005 Lauren set up her own consultancy delivering compelling results to clients looking to innovate their brand proposition to their consumers. Through a comprehensive turn-key approach where the worlds of film, fashion, music and art are harnessed, Lauren has worked with a variety of luxury brands as well as non-profits throughout the US & Europe. The consultancy provides 360-degree strategic consulting and implementation that optimizes clients' businesses focuses on ROI.
Lauren’s consultancy has worked with many non-profits including Project Angel Food, which allowed her to work with hundreds of major international fashion designers every year through the largest fashion sales event on the west coast of the US where all revenue went to feed individuals with HIV and Cancer. During her time with the organization, over $3,000,000 was raised directly from her procurement of fashion items.
After her start in fashion, the new media frontier beckoned and she was one of the founding employees and shareholders of Yahoo in 1996 as a Business Development Director where she was responsible for generating millions of dollars in new business. She managed clients by creating customized integrated promotion and marketing solutions with a focus on the entertainment, fashion, and automotive sectors. She was fortunate to work with such brands as Nestlé, Frito Lay, Ralph Lauren, Neutrogena, Lexus, Disney and more. She stayed in the new media world and moved to Europe to become the Director of Pan-European Distribution for Tiscali, an internet provider and portal, where she learned to speak Italian whilst based in Rome for three years.
From there it was back to the US where she worked for Omnicom as the Account Director on Universal Films handling their retail film promotions for such titles as The Hulk, The Cat in The Hat and the Fast and Furious franchise by partnering with Target, Wal-Mart and Best Buy and tying in their multiple vendors.
The luxury and fashion worlds came calling again and Lauren was hired as the Director of Sales and Marketing for IMG Fashion handling the sales, management and promotion for Fashion Weeks around the world. Lauren managed all development and implementation of client marketing programs incorporating public relations, promotions, and advertising with a strong focus on ROI. She also worked with various designers who needed partnership assistance for their runway shows. After four great years at IMG, and emboldened by requests from previous clients, she began her own consultancy.
She is on the board of Film Aid which uses the power of film to improve lives in refugee camps. She also sits on the committee for Hoping which provides Palestinian refugee children access to the arts and serves on the executive committee of Clic Sargent, one of the UK’s leading children’s cancer charities.
